You’re in
That’s it. You can now explore the app, browse existing agreements, and set up your profile. You only need a wallet when you’re ready to create or approve an agreement on-chain.
Set up a wallet
A crypto wallet is how you interact with the blockchain — signing transactions, holding tokens, and proving your identity on-chain. You need one to create or approve agreements.
Recommended wallets
| Wallet | Best for | Links |
|---|---|---|
| Coinbase Wallet | Base network (lowest fees), beginners | iOS · Android · Chrome |
| MetaMask | Most widely used, broad compatibility | metamask.io |
| Any WalletConnect wallet | Rainbow, Trust Wallet, and 100+ others | Works automatically via QR code |
Which wallet should I choose? If you’re new to crypto, start with Coinbase Wallet — it’s designed for Base (the network MyPact uses for live agreements) and has the simplest setup. If you already have MetaMask, that works great too.
Connect your wallet to MyPact
Click “Connect Wallet”
In the MyPact app, click the Connect Wallet button in the navigation bar.
Choose your wallet
Select your wallet from the list. If you’re using a mobile wallet, scan the QR code with your wallet app.
Approve the connection
Your wallet will ask you to confirm the connection. This is safe — it only lets MyPact see your public address. It cannot access your funds or make transactions without your approval.
Verify your wallet
MyPact will ask you to sign a message to verify you own the wallet. This is a free signature (no network fee) that links your wallet to your MyPact account.
Add the right network to your wallet
MyPact operates on two networks:
Test mode — Sepolia
A practice network with no real money. Free to use.
- Most wallets have Sepolia pre-configured. In MetaMask: Settings → Networks → Show test networks → Sepolia.
- You’ll need free Sepolia ETH for network fees. Get it from sepoliafaucet.com or Alchemy’s faucet.
Live mode — Base
The real network for real agreements with real funds.
- Coinbase Wallet: Base is built in — no setup needed.
- MetaMask: Go to chainlist.org, search for “Base”, and click Add to MetaMask.
- You’ll need a small amount of ETH on Base for network fees (usually under $0.05 per transaction).
